O BICHO PEGA!
Honorable Mention at the 32º Prêmio de Design do Museu da Casa Brasileira.
"O Bicho Pega!" is a board game developed for children from 8 years old. The game seeks to stimulate the child's sociability by increasing their contact with other children and exercising their visual perception, as well as increasing the exposure of the child to elements of the Brazilian culture, in this case, its fauna. Transportable, the game is fast, ideal for short recreation periods.
In order to stimulate the visual perception and social interaction of the child, we developed a game based on the classic series of children's books "Where is Waldo?", where the player must find a specific element in a scenario full of details.
However, "O Bicho Pega!" seeks to present Brazilian cultural aspects and, therefore, has as its backdrop, an illustration of Brazilian flora and fauna, in a style that refers to the traditional illustration of the country. The game also allows the player to spread and modify the position of the animals to be sought by the board, making each round challenging.
The modular board also allows the player to change the layout of the board, making it difficult to create visual landmarks that would help find the animals.
